What We Do
NCBI as part of NLM at NIH provides free access to biomedical literature, including PubMed and PubMed Central (PMC), as well as clinical genetics resources (ClinicalTrials.gov, MedGen, the Genetic Testing Registry, Medical Genetics Summaries, and dbGaP) and human genomic resources (RefSeq-curated genomic assemblies, Nucleotide and Protein sequence databases, and the genetic variation databases ClinVar, dbSNP and dbVar). In addition, NCBI is currently working on the NIH Comparative Genomics Resource (CGR), which facilitates reliable comparative genomics analyses with an NCBI Toolkit and community collaboration.
